Talent by the bucketful is on display in this week’s residency in the Central. Antonio Serrano, an emerging light on the Spanish jazz scene brings his fascinating, explorative harmonica playing to the club. Backing him is the excellent New York-born pianist Joshua Edelman, who is also an accomplished composer and arranger in jazz, salsa and classical music. Ably backed on double bass by Lucho Aguilar and on drums by Jimmy Castro, the group presents an album of live sessions recorded in the Central last summer.
